How to exit Apple TV kiosk mode?

Kiosk mode is a lockdown mechanism that can be used to restrict the device to specific applications. Hexnode supports the lockdown of a supervised Apple TV to a single enterprise app. You have to remove the kiosk policy to retrieve the device back from the single app mode. Exiting the kiosk mode helps in redeeming all the functionalities of an Apple TV.

Method 1: Remove the Policy Target

1. 1. Login to your Hexnode portal.
   2. Navigate to Policies tab.
   3. Open the required Policy.
   4. Go to Policy Targets.
   5. Click on remove button corresponding to the device from which you want to remove the policy.
   6. Click on Save.

Method 2: Disassociate the policy

1. 1. Login to your Hexnode portal.
   2. Navigate to Manage > Devices.
   3. Click on the device from which the policy has to be removed.
   4. Go to Policies subtab.
   5. Click on the trash icon corresponding to the policy to remove it from the device.

Method 3: Archive the policy

1. 1. Login to your Hexnode portal.
   2. Navigate to Policies tab.
   3. Select the required policy.
   4. Click on Manage > Move to Archive.
   5. Click on Okay.
