With Advanced Scripting for macOS, you can now skip these mundane steps and automate your app installation for a hands-free experience.
You can use the pre- or post- install scripts for customizing app installation and avoid repackaging installers. You can also use them to automate steps prompting users for inputs before or after an install. And with the audit scripts, you can look for required files, settings, or apps before proceeding with the enterprise app installation.
You can configure the required scripts under App Management > Mandatory Apps.
You can either upload the files directly from the policy itself or add a script from the Hexnode repository. And if you have any questions, you can always check out our help doc.
PS: The feature will be rolled out in batches, and it might be a while before it reaches you. But don’t worry, you can always raise a request with our support team for an early access.
